Farmer suicide

India’s emerging farmer suicide 

      Indian economy depends on Agriculture. After 18^th century India economy has been going down hell through using chemical, pesticides, fertilizers etc. as well as climate change. Day by day agricultural scenario is going worse which is dis-respectable for mankind. This is happening because of our brothers committed suicide who cultivate food for every being. Data shown us that a total of 2,96,438 farmers have committed suicide in India since 1995. (The NCRB began recording farm data in its annual Accidental Deaths & Suicides in India reports in 1995-2013.) Data also shown that highest farmers' suicides in the state of Maharashtra 1995-2013.

       That decade agricultural sector has been facing above situation then how we people of India think for better condition and remove hunger from this country. We cannot connivance from reality and to deny the reasons that behind lack of resources, technologies and so on. But who are people already capture highest position and authority they often forget their duties to look after the poor people. But they even don’t realized on that farmer who already committed suicide which gives food through cultivate for us. This is so shameful for us even through knowing everything but not doing for anything. I also convinced that we people already aware about the causes of farmers suicides. Even though we are keeping quiet them. It’s not only about protest or going to change the system directly but it should do effecting action on it. If government and others agencies give us to use comical and fertilizers on land and provides loan for agricultural purpose then before taking up we should think about that there is no substitute solution without using organic farming or cultivate in any agriculture sectors. It is our duty to make cultivate pure and sustainable which next generation can carry on easily. Therefore we can realized that no need to utilize the chemical fertilizers on their cultivation.

       Some questions are coming into my mind. Which are the farmers generally committed sluiced? Can we say or identify those farmers which have big land or who has lost from cultivation? My answer is those farmers committed suicide basically who has minimum land to survive depends on fertilizers, pesticides and taking loans from government. When farmer has not able to pay for debt within the time period then they generally commit suicide. Others also has many reasons behind on like climate, greedy, illness, impotency, family problems etc. but maximum number of farmer suicide for using chemical fertilizers and debt.

            Also I concern about the adopting western agricultural process which after 18^th century make the land so useless. We have created such mentality in our minds which call adopting western agricultural process for develop the agricultural sector. People recognize is a modern techniques for making better production. I don’t believe that use of modern technology make or cultivate better for agricultural sectors. In reality this system misguide to people that because of farmers can’t overcome from their problems.

          Indian councilor of agricultural research (ICAR) also already declared that we are coming to limit position for production and now land has not capacity to produce more production of using fertilizers, pesticides etc.

        If we want to stop the suicide cases of farmers then should adopt traditional cultivation process and give justice and respect to the farmers and they should get to right for decide the price their own. I also wanted to combine the concept of constructive work in agriculture sectors which directly help to the farmers for sustainable development in agriculture and their livelihood. We want completely solution prevailing challenges, not only trying reduce suicide cases. The time is coming once again for make a revolution in agriculture sectors.
