Inferior Quality of Education System in India
“I have traveled across the
length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who
is a thief such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values,
people of such caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country,
unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and
culture heritage and therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient
education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is
foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem,
their native culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation.” Lord
Macaulay’s Address to the British Parliament on 2nd Feb 1835. Reason
behind that India Education Act 1835 and English Education Act 1835 impose on
Indian people by British Government.
Just think and analyze about the
present existing system of education in India. It has no doubt about for me that we
have been adopting that education system which used for slaving and impose on Indian
people. I convince that this system has already failure to make a person
educated and purity in his identity. In this system has so many demerits which
make us confuse, egoistic and facing problems in day to day life. As of my point
of view, reason of incorrect education system is the root cause of prevailing maximum
problems facing in everywhere. I’m talking about the real education and importance of character
building of teachers, professors as well as students. I can give you so many
example which probably you’ve facing also. During this whole academic period I
have seen so many people who has got high rank or position in educational
institutions which using for own business and produce robots and inhuman mentality, where surrounding you can see. Teachers or professors have also responsibilities to make a student good character even
it has no duty to give lectures in front of the students. It’s not only duty
for any professor or teacher only teach to students, also should be an ideal
person his students. Teachers should build that much of quality or character
which can directly impact on his students to build character itself. I
convince that character is better than knowledge for every individual. But in
this situation of present educational institutions teachers or professors are
becoming egoistic, regressive, dominate, used cigrates or win and so on in
inside and outside of the campus, which are I’ve seen till now. My question is
that, then how can be teacher or professor make himself or herself an ideal person for his student? If already this education system can’t able to make a good character and instead of that
just showing to others as a good personality. Does it make sense for you and me? NO! I also don’t
want to recognize that individual who think himself or herself that I’m a
scholar or that much of degrees so I’m an educated person. It is a mentally to
creating our minds to setting like that. Overall its means our education is
providing by institutions totally worse or I can say that educational
institutions are not providing ‘quality education’ to students. It is a totally
failure education system which we have been adopting since 1835.
